Government
Girls College, a premier college in Sonipat District headquarter, was
established in 2018 by the Government of Haryana with a humble beginning of 181
students. The college is currently functional in the building of Government Girls
Senior Secondary School, Murthal Adda, Sonipat. New college building is under
construction on a 10.5 acres land acquired by Government of Haryana at
Sector-12, Sonipat and project and budget had been sanctioned for the new
building. Hopefully, the building will be handed over to college in coming
session (2020-2021).
Government
Girls College, Sonipat with its academic zeal, aims at providing quality
education to girl students while augmenting their meaningful participation in
both curricular and extra-curricular activities. The focus is on the process of
teaching-learning with a sense of social responsibility. The college upholds
the spirit of Humanism and strives to inculcate rationalism among its
stakeholders. Presently the college has a strength of 300 students. It offers
four courses-B.A, B.Com (P), B.Com (Hons) and B.J.M.C with a dedicated staff
of….permanent teachers. The College is a temple of learning for every person
and every faculty zealously endeavors and excels in disseminating knowledge.
